What does “best photos of 2018” mean?
As I look back at what I feel are my best photos of 2018, I have to consider images made in multiple ways and published through multiple sources. Are we talking client images? Personal projects? Images that were shared via Instagram? Or more recently, Flickr? Images from PPA and OPPA competitions?
I decided when choosing the best photos of 2018, all of the above were in play and so what you’ll see is a mixture of image types and sources. Enjoy, and if you’ve shared your favorite work from the past year, leave a comment with a link below!

You have a really fascinating range of photos, Aaron. I like the mix. My favorite of the group is Urban Climb, just love the patterns. Great composition. I hope you have a fantastic 2019.

Like a Rock reminds me of thunder storms in the field when I was a grad student at Colorado School of Mines. I love your image, but not the terrified feeling of having lightning strikes so close. Good luck in 2019, Aaron.

Thanks. The weather there was crazy. Four months of paperwork to settle things between insurance and the rental car company over the hail damage to the car!
