You might know that I ❤️ ConvertKit.
They’re an email service provider focused on creators. Photographers, bloggers, educators, and other folks who make things are their people. Given how important email marketing for photographers has become, they’re a great fit for us.
I wrote a bit last year about why ConvertKit for photographers.
Until recently, ConvertKit was a paid service.
Then they added a free plan to let you get started collecting addresses, but you had to pay (or refer people) to start sending messages.
In light of everything in our world changing in 2020, they’ve made some changes.
The ConvertKit free plan now includes the ability to send messages to up to 1000 subscribers. If you were previously waffling between the better (but paid) ConvertKit service versus a less-awesome competitor that was free, that choice just got easier.

When photographers and other creators start building an email list, it can take several weeks or months to build things up to a point where the list is really effective for you, and the ConvertKit free plan allowing for 1000 subscribers means that you won’t have to pay anything until you have a decent-sized list (or have progressed to the point where you want to use the more advanced features).

I’m not just a ConvertKit customer and fan, I’m also an affiliate partner. If you use the links above and eventually become a paid customer, I get a small commission.
