YouTube is a thing. A popular thing.
And it’s a thing that’s popular enough that I’d argue anyone hoping to build a serious online presence should be spending some time with YouTube. It was a big focus for me in 2022. And while I’m not an expert YouTuber at this point, I do have some good momentum, a nice subscriber base that’s growing, and feel like I’ve found a groove in the process.
I want to share some of the lessons I’ve learned. If you’re a photographer looking to get started with YouTube as part of your online presence, this can help.
I’ve collected twenty tips, tricks, thoughts, and lessons learned over the last several months about several aspects of producing and publishing video on YouTube. Topics include:
- channel topics
- thumbnails and titles
- video editors
- how to improve
- the YouTube algorithm
I’ve brought these all together into a PDF. It’s not a high-dollar comprehensive YouTube course. It’s affordable and accessible to get you headed in the right direction. The idea is that you can learn from what I did well (or where I stumbled) and find yourself on a path to success faster than if you went out on your own. And I’m always happy to answer questions after you read the material and try it out. Together we can both grow.
You can find out more on my take on how to get started with YouTube in this guide I’ve appropriately titled Lessons From a YouTube Newbie.
